Geographic distribution: Occurs across the Atlantic, and Brazil on the coast.

Fishing in Natal RN is right for a tuna bait.

Description: Body fusiform, elongate and fairly robust. Colouring of dark blue backs with silver sides and white bellies. The first dorsal fin is yellow or blue, the second dorsal fin is yellowish or reddish. Pinnules and anal fin yellowish with dark edges. The second dorsal fin is larger than the first dorsal. The pectorals are short, less than 80% of head length.

Ecology:  Oceanic fish, migratory and sometimes approaching the coast. Tolerate a wide variation of water temperature, while young people prefer warm waters. Fast fish that swim near the surface or mid-water. Form small schools and large schools also along with yellowfin tuna, and beautiful mountains. If you eat fish, squid and crustaceans.
