Scientific name: Scomberomorus mackerel

Habitat: They attend rocky regions of the open sea, always close to shore. Exist throughout the east coast of Brazil and walk normally in large schools of individuals of similar size.

Fishing Techniques: The equipment must be action medium / heavy, consisting of a stick to lines 10 to 30lbs spool or reel with capacity of 100m line of 0.40 mm in diameter.

For natural baits should be used: hooks size 2 / 0 6 / 0, lead free line the bait to sink or float to keep it at half depth. The best natural baits are small fish found in the region and pieces of squid.

The lures used are more water half-size (20 to 25cm).

Best season: Throughout the year you can fish in Natal - RN mackerel fish.
